I apologize for the outage on the site yesterday and today. Lamar University is in Beaumont Texas and Hurricane Laura came through here and caused a brief power outage at Lamar. Things should be up and running at this point and (hopefully) will stay that way, at least until the next hurricane comes through here which seems to happen about once every 10-15 years. Note that I wouldn't be too suprised if there are brief outages over the next couple of days as they work to get everything back up and running properly. I apologize for the inconvienence.

You can use the form below to send me a message. Your name and email address are optional but if you send an email that requires an reply from me that will be a little hard if you don't supply an email address!
Over the years I've gotten really busy with my duties here at Lamar University and just don't have the time to answer all the messages that I get so if you don't get a reply from me do not take it personally, I just got busy and didn't have time to reply to the message. I can assure you however that I do read all messages that I get. Two groups of messages that I never respond to anymore are requests for help with problems/homework/etc. and requests for solutions/answers to the Assignment problems. The reasoning for not replying to those messages can be found here.
If you are sending me a message about a typo or mistake in the material somewhere please include the course notes, section and Example (if applicable) where the typo/mistake is. I've gotten a few messages very similar to "The 1 in Example 2 should be a 3" and it is pretty much impossible to find those kinds of typos.
If you are an instructor looking to formally use some/all of this material in a course you are teaching please include the material you are looking to use, the approximate number of students who will be using the material, the school you are teaching at, the state your school is in (if you aren't in the US you don't need to worry about this) and the country you are in, if you aren't in the US. Also, I would like to know if the material will be considered as a primary or supplementary source for the students and if it is required or optional.
If you are a student looking to use the material as a supplement to your class you do not need to request permission to use the material as that is the purpose of me putting it online!
